Children's Program Teen Volunteers - 2006

One of the most exciting parts of the CHOIS Convention is the Children's Program. Created for children ages 5 – 11, the Children's Program is two days full of colorful crafts, creative games, crazy skits, and catchy songs, all centered around solid Biblical teaching.

Here's what Past Volunteers are Saying:

"It's an awesome opportunity to serve. The volunteers really get to interact with the kids. I've had a blast!" - SM

"I enjoy volunteering at CHOIS because it is an awesome time of fun and teaching kids how to have fun as a team." - BF

"I've volunteered at the CHOIS convention for six years, and I have grown so much through this experience. I have had new levels of leadership each year giving me confidence that has spread into other areas of my life. It is such an amazing experience to watch the Lord work in the life of each child; I could never replace it!" - EP

Volunteer FAQ's

"I have something else going on that weekend, can I volunteer for just part of the Children's Program?" Due to the nature of the program, it is necessary for you to commit to the entire time (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on both days). If you have limited time to give, we encourage you to serve in another capacity during the convention.

"I can volunteer during the Children's Program, but I have a conflict with the training times. Can I still help?" In order to prepare our hearts and minds for the Children's Program, all volunteers are required to attend the training session.

"I noticed that the minimum age for volunteering is 14 years. I'm 13 years old, can I help?" While we have had some wonderful experiences with younger volunteers, we find it is necessary to require volunteers to be at least 14 years of age. We do, however, appreciate your willingness to serve, and we look forward to working with you in 2009!

"How will I know if my Volunteer Application has been received and reviewed?" You will be contacted through e-mail by the Children's Program Directors. Once your application has been accepted you will receive further information regarding your involvement.
