One of the most exciting parts of the CHOIS Convention is the Children's Program. Created for children ages 5 – 11, the Children's Program is two days full of colorful crafts, creative games, crazy skits, and catchy songs, all centered around solid Biblical teaching.
CHOIS is looking for teens whom are committed to Christ and His Word and are willing to share their experience in working with children. We would ask you, along with your parents, to prayerfully consider giving your time to minister to the children of Idaho.
Team Leaders (Ages 16 – 19) – Team Leaders are responsible for leading small discipleship groups of children ages 5 – 11. Using the hands-on curriculum, you will guide your assigned team through lessons on growing in Christ. You will be responsible for presenting Biblical object lessons, crafts, and games.
Team Assistants (Ages 14 – 15) – Team Assistants are paired with Team Leaders, helping prepare for and present the lesson plans. Your job is to implement the direction of the Team Leader. Assisting with the object lessons, crafts, and games, you are vital to the success of your assigned team.

"I have something else going on that weekend, can I volunteer for just part of the Children's Program?" Due to the nature of the program, it is necessary for you to commit to the entire time (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on both days). If you have limited time to give, we encourage you to serve in another capacity during the convention.
"I can volunteer during the Children's Program, but I have a conflict with the training times. Can I still help?" In order to prepare our hearts and minds for the Children's Program, all volunteers are required to attend the training session.
"I noticed that the minimum age for volunteering is 14 years. I'm 13 years old, can I help?" While we have had some wonderful experiences with younger volunteers, we find it is necessary to require volunteers to be at least 14 years of age. We do, however, appreciate your willingness to serve, and we look forward to working with you in 2009!
"How will I know if my Volunteer Application has been received and reviewed?" You will be contacted through e-mail by the Children's Program Directors. Once your application has been accepted you will receive further information regarding your involvement.
